2000           Performed in collaboration with Sufi fusion ensemble, “Beloved,” at Rumi Festival, Chapel Hill, N.C.

1999              Toured Germany & France, accompanying Ustad Fateh Ali Khan on harmonium

1999                Composed original music and performed on Persian fusion CD, “PROBE” (

1998                Represented the music of Afghanistan at Asilah International Festival, Moraco

1998                Composed & performed music for the poetry of Omar Khayam on Pakistan Television for nationwide                                             broadcast on PTV World

1997                Sang for the award-winning BBC radio feature, “Monsoon,” subsequently broadcast throughout the U.S.                                      in abridged form by National Public Radio in 1999

1997                Composed & Performed on the soundtrack of the Harish Saluza film, “The Journey.”  This soundtrack won                                   an award at the Florida Independent Film Festival in 1998.

1996                Performed instrumental music for the soundtrack of the Mira Nair feature film, “Kama Sutra.”

1995                Provided vocal accompaniment to Ustad Vilayat Khan & Ustad Zakir Hussain in concerts in the Eastern                                         U.S.

1993-94         Provided instrumental accompaniment for CD recordings by Mashkoor Ali Khan & Ustad Rashid Khan,                                           released by AIM Records

1993                Debut performance at the Library of Congress in the Neptune Plaza Series

1991                Received an Apprenticeship Grant from the District of Columbia  Commission on the Arts and Humanities                                     for the study of vocal music with Shubha Sankaran
